I love this time of the year as the weather will not be too humid or too hot where i can't wear long sleeve or jacket out.
It's 8 degrees at Chengu, 13 degrees at Xiamen and 5 degrees at Chongqing!
How I love doing China flights. Especially when the aircraft door is opened . Loved it!
I told my collegues I dont mind staying over in china for a night.

Over this entire year, when I was still a junior in the company for 3 months, many a times, I thought of giving up, I wanted to cry so badly. It's a different type of experience I never encountered before.
I was 19 when I joined the company. A time where I was the most teachable, the most mouldable in my life .
I will be swayed by what other's said, do not have a mind of my own.
But as I looked back over this 1 year and 3 months, I realised that it's the surroundings that have changed me, the people who have been very mean to me has moulded me into someone strong and tough on the inside.
I used to cry whenver my secondary school teacher scolded me or when my friends confronted me . I was so afraid that at a point of time,I  thought I will just shut myself out.
For now, I will stand up for myself, the girl who is strong on the outside and does not shed tears easily.
Turning 21 next year, I want to have a breakthrough in my career, in my life, something which I will not regret when I look back .
Life is simply too too short to be wasting it away.

At the very last weekend of 2008,  there's a whole list of things I need to do .But in 2009, im excited for the things which have yet to come!
here it is , just to share with u guys(:

1. To study for my basic theory exam which will be on the 5th Jan and to pass it !
2. To do up my resume by 4th Jan!
3. To take pictures of myself in business attire.( I threw all of it away! or they are simply too big!)
4. To study Japanese class with the rest.
5. To re-learn piano lesson in 2009
6. To subscribe for Newsweek and National Geographic magazine. I grew a liking for these two magazines ever since I was trained for business class.
7. To pay a visit over at Malaysia where my grandfather and my aunty is. Every year I say I will go over but it didn't happen.

I  know I have to make it happen. I definitely will.

have a great weekend guys!(:

shooting stars

A "falling star" or a "shooting star" has nothing at all to do with a star! These amazing streaks of light you can sometimes see in the night sky are caused by tiny bits of dust and rock called meteoroids falling into the Earth's atmosphere and burning up. The short-lived trail of light the burning meteoroid produces is called a meteor. Meteors are commonly called falling stars or shooting stars. If any part of the meteoroid survives burning up and actually hits the Earth, that remaining bit is then called a meteorite.

I'm lucky to see 7 of it on Friday night (:

counting down

Hello guys, it's 16 more days to christmas and 23 days away to a brand new year 2009.
Christmas is definitely a season of giving and receiving.not only in gifts but in love and appreciating others as well.
I certainly have to count my blessings this year as I will be able to celebrate christmas on the day itself .
The popping of champagne, potluck sessions, the log cake, turkey with ham, gift exchanges are not to be missed.
Its also the time of the year where I will sit down and reflect on what has happened in 2008 and what I can do to improve for a better year ahead.
I want to finish the race well for the last few weeks of 2008 .I'm sure most of you guys would want to .
Let's be a good finisher.
As for me, I would want to visit my grandfather and tell him how much I love him.
To let him know that he is not alone in this world.

As for now, I will just simply enjoy my time of leave (:

(no subject)

I had a great time over at Mind's cafe last night.
Received a call to operate a chartered flight to phuket and the whole main idea was to bring back the people who were stranded in bangkok.
50,000 people who are still stranded over there trying to make their way back to their hometown.
A passenger told me that she had to take 12 hours of car from bangkok to phuket and it cost her 10,000 baht which is equivalent to $700.
The desperation in the people who are willing to pay any amt just to make their way home.

As the passengers came on board, they were so glad to see us, to see the plane, to have their own seats back to Singapore.
They were stranded in Bangkok for 7 days!
I saw tears and joy on their faces as they told me what is going on in bangkok now.
The riots, the killing and the screaming between the thais.
And I realised that sometimes human beings do not know how to be grateful and thankful and they tend to take things for granted.
As the captain made the landing announcement , many of them couldn't wait to call their loved ones that they have  already landed.
I witnessed a few of them hugging their families, kissing their loved ones.
It was a heart warming scene.
I was touched as well. I wanted to cry and tell them that their nightmares are over and everything will be safe now.

And because of this, I know that I will stay long in this career(:

happiness

According to a recent study in the journal science, just buying a small gift for someone else will bring you more happiness than if you were to buy something for yourself.
So next time if you are feeling down , get something for your friend or bring them out for a nice meal! (:

Happy birthday Janelle (:
Thanks for being so tolerant to me though I know I might be irritating at times.
Thanks for making a trip down to the hospital when it's so out of the way for you. I really appreciate it.
Thanks for the 4 yrs of friendship and it marks the number of years i'm in church as well .
Thanks for inviting me up to your place for dinner occasionally.
It's nice having you as a friend.
I trust that you will have a better career in 2009!(:

Revelation

I was having my quiet time and was complaining to God about the little things that happen at work recently and He led me to this verse.

'The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good' Pro 15:3
I was very encouraged by it as nothing has been going smoothly nowadays .
I was reminded that God will be there 24/7 daily.
Angels to protect me and the Holy Spirit to guide me.
I am indeed blessed(:

Anyway, was discharged 2 days ago and the feeling is wonderful.
Asia conference was truly remarkable though having to skip for 2 nights.
Taught me the importance of not taking things for granted.

It's been a long day for me and work resumes tmrw.

ciao!

Infection

Hi all, it has been a very long and sick week for me.
Was down with high fever consecutively for 2 nights and it got me worried so I decided to pay a visit to the hospital .
Initially, it was just to have a blood test to see whether i'm alright.
The blood test came out and showed that my white blood cells were too high due to an infection .
Hence ,admitted.
It was really quite an experience to stay over in the hospital .
My arms were totally bruised by the needle used to draw for blood testing.
And it hurt for the first time.
Every other hour, there will be a nurse to check on me , taking my blood pressure, taking my temperature and ensure I take my medicine on time.
Meals were served punctually at 8am,12pm and 5pm.
There's even tea breaks in between.

As I was watching Oprah Winfrey earlier this morning and my favourite book -eat pray love will be doing a movie on it.
Julia Roberts will be the one portraying Elizabeth Gilbert who is the author.
I cant wait for it to be released!

Thanks for all my friends who made the effort to make a trip down to visit me.
I really appreciate it (:
Will treat you to a nice meal once i'm discharged .heh.

But above all else, I have to thank God for this courage to go through all these.
Ciao!
